Moussa M. Kallas was a prominent jurist whose career extended to 54 years of practice both as a judge and attorney at law.
He joined the Beirut Bar Association in 1963 and was later admitted as a Judge in 1972 where he held several positions including President of the Court of First Instance (1984 – 1991) and President of the Court of Appeal (1991 – 1992)
In 1993 after resigning his position as a Judge he founded Kallas Law Firm and acted as its chairman until 2017.
Moussa Kallas was also a former Professor of Law at the Lebanese University and the Lebanese Institute of Judicial Studies.
Moussa Kallas will be remembered first and foremost as a humanist, a visionary and a critical thinker whose legacy goes well beyond the legal industry.
